Captain Donald L. Roy, U.S. Navy, Retired, ACBC Biblical Counselor

The non-stop combat that our service members have been involved in since September 11, 2001 has taken a significant toll on many of our selfless combat veterans. Dealing with the emotional trauma of PTSD is every bit as difficult, and often times more difficult, than dealing with the physical injuries sustained in battle. Fallen Soldiers March is taking a hands-on, practical approach to helping our veterans. I am especially excited about FSM’s vision to provide the type of counsel that comes directly from God’s Word and is empowered by God’s Spirit. This is exactly what our veterans need to handle their PTSD in a way that glorifies God and provides them true, everlasting healing.

A 1978 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, CAPT Roy served 30 years in the U.S. Navy. He was assigned to various fighter squadrons where he flew F-14 Tomcats as a Radar Intercept Officer (RIO), accumulating over 2500 hours and more than 430 carrier landings in the Tomcat. He later served in a number of command and staff positions, including Chief of Staff for Commander, Naval Air Force Reserve. During his career, he attended the U.S. Naval War College where he earned an MA in National Security and Strategic Studies. He later earned an MS in Management from Troy State University and an MA in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
