Aurelia Smith, Former USAF Captain, ACBC Certified Biblical Counselor

Aurelia has a passion for ministering to military members and their families. She cares deeply about reaching women in the military milieu, whether they are in the military themselves, or married into the military context. She also has a deep desire to point her brothers and sisters in uniform to the all sufficient Christ, both in the counseling room and outside of it. All of these aims resonate deeply with the mission and vision of the Fallen Soldiers March.

Aurelia Smith has decades of experience in the United States military as a “military brat,” active duty officer, and US Air Force spouse. She grew up in multiple stateside locations & several overseas countries as a military dependent. Aurelia is a 1997 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and served in the intelligence career field as an active duty Air Force officer for over five years in the United States and abroad. She has her master’s degree in biblical counseling from The Master’s University and is also certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). She is the author of the book, “Ministering to Military Women: Biblical Help & Hope.”

Aurelia is also immersed in recipe development and the health stewardship realm due to her chronic illness journey. She seeks to encourage others in their suffering with scriptural hope, while also arming them with creative, nutrient dense, delicious meals on instagram @epicureanalchemy.

Aurelia’s family includes her husband Nate, who recently retired from the Air Force in October 2019 after 28 years of service and their two teenage sons.
